Cavallino-Treporti

Else to see...

Cavallino-Treporti is a town and comune in the province of Venice, Veneto, northern Italy.

The commune occupies a peninsula (litorale del Cavallino) which divides the Venetian Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. The river Sile forms the north-eastern boundary with the comune of Jesolo. The comune is composed of several boroughs, including Cavallino, Treporti, Punta Sabbioni and others.

For nature lovers, this area of the north lagoon constitutes a journey of great charm, rich with hidden and solitary corners, amongst picturesque vegetable gardens that are alternated with sandbanks and fishing valleys, through small rural villages of Treporti, Le Mesole, Lio Piccolo and Saccagnana, on the discovery of unusual and suggestive landscapes that become privileged places to discreetly observed flora and fauna of the lagoon.
